Kubes Law Office Supports Pro Bono Legal Service

Pro bono legal service (free to those in need) “is important, valuable, and possible in today’s busy world” – Minnesota State Bar Association. Kubes Law Office supports pro bono legal service by volunteering time through www.Building4Good.org , a non-profit corporation that Kristine Kubes helped found with colleagues from the ABA Forum on Construction Law. Building for Good connects construction lawyers with charities and non-profits needing construction law help. In 2025, Kristine served a local non-profit with over 50 hours of pro bono service. The MSBA has now recognized Kristine as a “North Star Lawyer” for that service. We share this news not to draw attention to Kristine, but to raise awareness about the import and relevance of pro bono legal service. ABA Forum on Construction Law Celebrates 50 Years

Gathering of many national Chairs of the Forum on Construction Law, May 2026

On May 6-9, 2026, in Chicago, IL, the ABA Forum on Construction Law celebrated its 50-year history, its legacy as the largest and preeminent association of construction lawyers on the planet (literally), and its ongoing benefit to the profession. Kristine Kubes is one of only seven women elected to serve as the National Chair of the Forum in its 50-year history, and the first and only solo practitioner to hold that office in the Forum’s history. Kristine was asked to speak at the program, along with her colleague Arlan Lewis, about their insights on leadership from the last decade in the Forum.
