June 1, 2026, marks the 17th anniversary of Kubes Law Office, Serving Design & Construction Professionals. Pro bono legal service (free to those in need) “is important, valuable, and possible in today’s busy world” – Minnesota State Bar Association. Kubes Law Office supports pro bono legal service by volunteering time through www.Building4Good.org , a non-profit corporation that Kristine Kubes helped found with colleagues from the ABA Forum on Construction Law. Building for Good connects construction lawyers with charities and non-profits needing construction law help. In 2025, Kristine served a local non-profit with over 50 hours of pro bono service. The MSBA has now recognized Kristine as a “North Star Lawyer” for that service. We share this news not to draw attention to Kristine, but to raise awareness about the import and relevance of pro bono legal service.
